Markets

 Two weekly markets in Villedieu

All year there are two weekly markets in Villedieu-les-Poêles : one large market Tuesday morning and a small complimentary market Friday morning.

The large market

Every Tuesday morning, take a stroll around the market to do the shopping in one of the largest markets in the South Manche. The large Villedieu-les-Poêles market extends over four Places : Place des Halles, Place des Costils, Place de la République and Place du Presbytère. At the Place des Halles, are a number of producers of local Norman produce: andouille (Norman speciality type of sausage), cream, butter, eggs, poultry, honey, fish and seafood. At the Place du Presbytère and the Place de la République, sellers of fruit, vegetables, flowers and clothes are concentrated here, whilst at the Place des Costils there are sellers of a more diverse nature such as (ready-to-wear clothes, bric-a-brac, handbags etc..) If you would like to eat within the market, let us tempt you to a sausage galette (pancake), the gastronomic speciality of the South Manche market !

The little market

Every Friday morning, at the Place des Halles is the small market. You will find a number of local producers : andouille (Norman speciality type of sausage), cream, eggs, poultry, fish and seafood, fruit and vegetables… Have a festive weekend with the local Norman produce!

Furthermore, a market takes place to Percy on Saturday and to Saint Pois on Thursdays.
